The Main Window

Once you have collected some data, the main window displays a summary of the last 24 hours, and current readings on the screen.

Every time new data is collected, an XML file is udpated with the latest readings. XML has the benefit that you can write an XSL transformation, to convert a simple XML file into an HTML web page; Customization is limited only by your imagination.

The Main Window - when first installed

When you first install the system, it will request that you plug in your weather station.

After you've done that, it will collect any data that is currently on your weather station.

Until you've done this, you will also be unable to view or edit alarms or other settings on your weather station.

After you've downloaded your data

MetStats will update the database, and then display the latest readings, as shown above.
